I set out to create an abstract impressionist/representational approach to this painting. This windy morning wave is typical of the shore of Condado Puerto Rico's urban beach; Ocean Park Beach. This is where I research most of my paintings. (lol) I sit and watch the waves, walk by and also photograph thousands and thousands through the years. The seafoam foreground design leads us back to the frothy wave and the tremendous spray standing up because of the onshore wind. The colors in the foreground, incoming shallow shimmering reflections of the sandy shore inches beneath the water lapping the shore
