I was honored to join with 55 artists whose paintings were selected for “The 15th Annual Art About Agriculture Exhibition at the magnificent Santa Paula Art Museum which opened November 11, 2023 and closed March 6, 2024. The original Painting is available at the museum.  Although I finished the original oil painting in Sept 2023, I took the reference photo the day after Christmas in 2019, from up on Hospital Hill in Santa Paula. That moring the clouds lifted revealing an incredible sight: the peak adorned, freshly I covered in thick white snow. The mixture of cool colors and shadows with the warm sunlit colors on the slopes intrigued me as I played with overlapping shapes, values, color and form. The beauty of the mountain with highland orchards nestled in the foothills with swirling organic rhythms and vibrations inspired this modern abstract yet representational landscape.

I am so thankful to collector and childhood Santa Paula Street neighbor Lily Coffman purchased the original painting and it hangs in her home in Colorado.

PIGMENT:We use Epson DURABrite Ultra pigment ink which has a permanence resistance rating up to 105 years as rated by Wilhelm Imagine Research a leading authority of print permanence. Pigment inks come at a higher cost than dye inks but you can feel confident in your investment that will last for generations.
