Aritist Offers Art for Everybody

So what’s on your walls?

A bit of art on the walls to cheer you up, brighten your day, maybe bring a little joy is what artist Jules Smith’s new art venture hopes to accomplish.

“I love that my art is now available in multiple sizes at an affordable price point making ‘Art for Everybody' a reality.” Jules explains, “Giclee Fine Art Printing has made it possible to make my collection of recent and earlier work truly accessible to anyone.”

Jules Smith Art’s Giclee Reproduction prints utilize the latest technological advances in digital printmaking. Images of her original paintings are either digitally scanned or captured directly on camera and are printed with a high resolution, professional Digital inkjet printer with archival pigments. Together with 100% cotton rag, acid free, archival paper, the process yields exceptional depth, color and accuracy. Each print is made to order with signature and title in the margin under the image to be seen with mat or covered depending on your preference.

The initial launch collection of 24 Giclee reproductions of new paintings and favorites in the archives, includes California landscapes and vibrant seascapes of Puerto Rico, California and Australia. “I will be adding more reproductions of new paintings as they come off the easel, and I do take special requests at no extra cost, if you are interested in a print of an existing painting you like. Because I print and hand cut in-house I can make any painting available and I also can manage costs and ensure high quality. It’s also fun to package with care and a bit of style using natural Kraft paper, jute, fun labels, and colorful wax seals with hand pressed flowers from my garden,” reports Jules.

Jules was raised in Santa Paula, California, lived in Kauai, Upper Ojai Valley, Fillmore, Inverness and Nicasio Valley, California, and currently spends most of her time either working in her studio in Puerto Rico or her hometown Santa Paula, California where her work has been included in several juried Exhibitions at the Santa Paula Art Museum in the past few years. Most recently the 14th Art about Agriculture Exhibition. She is a member of the California Art Club and society of Southern California.

“After years of planning and research I am happy to offer my Art at reasonable prices with the highest quality materials from my home studio.” Collectors Investing in a high quality print can be confident with the process utilizing 100+ year light permanence rated archival pigment inks on archival quality, fade resistant 100% Cotton Rag 308 gsm, Acid and Lignin Free, FineArt Smooth Matt paper by Hahnemühle, the leader in Museum and Gallery Papers for Giclee Reproduction Prints.

Have you ever wondered what goes into creating and launching a collection of Giclee Fine Art Prints in house? Jules explains her process, “For years I have dabbled in selling Giclee prints of my art working with a wonderful print and framing studio in Old San Juan to create the prints. However, the cost and time in transportation and waiting, quality checking, the back and forth of it all made it an unreasonable business for me,” explains Jules, who currently takes public transportation everywhere she goes. She enjoys staying home alone with her her dog Gabbana and creating Art so she took stock after the Covid Isolation and thought about would work best for her, what would be sustainable.

After much research and taking advice from other artists running their own Giclee Art Print and Art Card businesses, she launched her business. “I started with the Art Cards Shop first,” she reminisces about how she launched the online ART CARD shop on Thanksgiving 2022. However, after several collectors asked her for prints she invested in the highest quality of materials and equipment and rolled out the Giclee Reproduction Art Prints section of the online shop on Valentines Day, Feb 2023. She is delighted her first two orders are out the door printed, packaged with love and care and will be arriving this weekend to two very special collectors. “Im humbled that they believe in me and like my art well enough to live around it on their walls of their homes,” she added. “I hope the bright colors and calming scenic vistas may spark a bit of joy in your day,” says Jules to future customers.
